Rediscovering My Piano and Worship Journey
If you knew me in 2009 or before, you will remember this….
But for those that don’t know…..
I grew up playing piano and leading worship in churches. From the age of 10, I was on stage.
I was classically trained on piano and even went to college for music.
I’ve led worship for hundreds of people and for small rooms. I LOVED it and feel that God anointed me for that as I grew up.

After I really got my footing in real estate about 10 years ago, I stopped playing/singing. I even gave away my piano that I had.
I sing in the car and at home occasionally but nothing like I used to. A few weeks ago I had to meet a piano mover for one of my upcoming sellers and while I was waiting on the movers, I sat down and tried to play something. It was so hard to remember. My muscles remembered some songs but I couldn’t just sit down and play anything I wanted like I used to.
The saying is absolutely true. “If you don’t use it, you lose it.”
And I was so sad to know that I had lost it.

So I came home and thought about it. I told Zach that I really missed being able to sit down at anytime and just play whatever I wanted.
So I did all of the research and bought myself this!
I sat down this afternoon with my kids and struggled through our favorite songs. We sang and we laughed!
I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to sit down and read classical sheet music again but I know I can always pick up a chord chart and play/sing worship music.
